Practical information about Haus St. Benedikt
Reservation
If you book via our website, we will have (almost) all your details in advance, making it easier for you to check in. You can also see in the calendar for which dates we still have rooms available.

ATTENTION: Your reservation is only valid once you have received a booking confirmation from us.
Reception opening hours
We are available for you at the reception from 8:00-11:00 and 16:00-18:00.
Check-in/-out
Check-in is possible from 14:00 by arrangement. See reception hours. You are welcome to leave your luggage with us beforehand.
Check-out is until 10:00 am.
Breakfast
Breakfast is always included and prepared for you from Monday to Friday from 7:30-9:30 am and on weekends and public holidays from 8:00-10:00 am.
Location
Haus St. Benedikt is located in the heart of Salzburg’s old town, just a few minutes’ walk from all the attractions such as Mozart’s birthplace, the fortress, the residence and the cathedral. Stroll through the old town and enjoy the historical flair. You will be back in your room in just a few minutes.
Room cleaning
Our housekeeping team are the good souls of the hotel. They are here every day between 8-13:00 to clean your room. Only on Sundays and public holidays are lead rooms not cleaned. At some point, even the good souls need a break to relax.
Key
Your key opens the gate from the outside to the left of the door. When leaving the house, press the white “TÜRÖFFNER” button to the right of the door. If you lose or break your key, a charge of EUR 100 applies.
Taxi
Taxis can be reached in Salzburg by dialling 0043 662 8111 and giving the address St. Peter-Bezirk 8-9, the taxi will come to the front door. If you enter Toscaninihof 1, it will be waiting behind the house in Toscaninihof. We will also be happy to order a taxi for you.
Your luggage
If you arrive earlier or do not want to lug your luggage around town after check-out, you can store it from 8.00 a.m. at the earliest and until 6.00 p.m. at the latest. We are not liable for theft, loss or damage.
Non-smoking
Smoking is not permitted in Haus St. Benedikt. In the event of non-compliance, EUR 200 will be charged without exception. We recommend: Better take your loved ones out to dinner.
Pets
For reasons of hygiene, we do not allow pets to stay with us. In the event of non-compliance, EUR 200 will be charged without exception. Here too we recommend: Better take your loved ones out for a meal.
Payment
Individual reservation:
Payment can be made on arrival in cash, by debit card or credit card (Visa & Mastercard). You are also welcome to transfer the amount to our account in advance (only via SEPA). Please let us know by e-mail as soon as you have transferred the amount.

Group reservation:
A deposit of 50% of the total amount is required to guarantee the reservation.
Credit card:
In case you have submitted your credit card details, we may pre-authorize your credit card as a guarantee for us as your hosts. This means, the amount will only be “reserved” BUT NOT deducted – even if you receive an information from your bank that the amount is no longer available for you. This pre-authorization will usually be cancelled by us during actual payment & check-out at the reception, or expires automaticaly after 30 days.

Cancellations and changes must be made in writing by email. Conditions for group reservations differ.
Travel cancellation insurance?
We know from experience that despite all the anticipation of the booked stay, something can always come up at short notice i.e. severe weather, or public transport strike. To avoid costs and hassle, we recommend that you take out hotel cancellation insurance with Europäische Reiserversicherung.
How to get here
By car:
Our hotel does not have a car park. If you arrive by car, we therefore recommend that our guests park in the Mönchsberggarage (=Altstadtgarage Mitte Parkhaus B, Hildmannplatz 1, 5020 Salzburg). From there, choose the exit “Festspielhäuser” and then “Altstadt/Toscaninihof” and you will come out of the garage right next to our house. You get a 30% discount ticket with check-out at the reception.

The best way to reach us from the railway station is by bus no. 1.
The best way to reach us from the airport is by bus no. 10
(on Sundays and public holidays also bus lines 2+1).
The following applies to both:
Get off at “Herbert-v.-Karajan-Platz”. Walk towards the fortress, along the Festspielhaus, then turn right into the Toscaninihof and left into the inner courtyard. You will find our entrance in the left-hand corner.
